Greetings all!

We need 12 to 13 cadet officers for the upcoming ISCEP 2012 which will be held from 27 May to 5 June.

The Minimum criteria is that you must be free on the weekend to bring the delegate out for free and easy tour around Singapore.

There will be 7 countries involved this year; Thailand, USA, UK, South Korea, New Zealand, Hong Kong, India.

Interested cadet officers have to email MuiNa (hengmuina1993@hotmail.com) and CC to manpower (nccsea.manpower@gmail.com) in the correct format and also state which countries they will be interested to take.

However, the country they have chosen might not be the country they will be taking. Also, please state the dates which you will not be free in the email.

Last day of application will 30 April 2012.

Affirmation Ceremony

The Invitation, Seating and Ushering Committee is looking for cadet officers to be ushers for Affirmation Ceremony 2012.

Duties will mainly consist of ushering of cadets in and out of Singapore Indoor Stadium and ensuring that the cadets are seated at the correct seating sectors. Other duties include assisting in dispersing of the cadets after the end of the whole ceremony.

We require 5 cadet officers to assist in order to ensure a good mixture of cadet officers from different district.

70th ANNIVERSARY OF THE FALL OF SPORE - MEMORIAL SERVICE

HQ NCC has been handed the honor and privilege to provide the Honor Guard for this significant and milestone event (70th ANNIVERSARY OF THE FALL OF SPORE - MEMORIAL SERVICE).

This solemn event is to pay tribute to the fallen, war veterans and to rejoice with the peace and harmony that exists on this small nation.

This memorial service will be held on 15 Feb at approximately 1730 hr at Kranji War Memorial and is expected to end at about 1930 hr.

Attire no. 1 uniform with SAR-21

HQNCC is looking for volunteers who are Cadet Officers to come forward and be an Honor Guard to mark this historic ceremony. I am looking for 12 males and 4 female Cadet Officers to form the Honor Guard Party. You need to meet the following criteria:

a. Must be at least 1.65 m

b. Must be able to attend 2 rehearsals (PM) dates to be confirmed later

c. Must be free the whole day on 15 Feb.

d. Males must have a decent hair cut

The application for the 38th Annual Kayaking Expedition 2012 is now open till 8th February 2012.

1. I have two issues that i hope you will disseminate to the Cadet Officers and Associate Members.

2. Firstly, its the NCC 110 road relay. Kindly note that if the Cadet Officers or Associate Members are running with their attached school unit they can't join the NCC Special Relay Team.

3. If they are interested to join the NCC Special Relay Team, kindly inform them to submit their particulars to me by 10 June.

4. 1st July is the SAF Day. Could you kindly check with your Associate Members and District Cadet Officers, if they are interested to witness the parade at SAFTI MI on that day. Attire is no.3 uniform with beret. For Associate members attire is long pants and long sleeve shirt. No jeans.

5. Broadly, they have to report to NCC Campus on 1 July at approximately 1400 hr. Ferry buses will be provided to ferry everyone to SAFTI MI. After the parade, the buses will ferry them to designated MRT stations. They can't drive there and they can't report there individually.

6. The parade will end at about 1830 hr.

7. Clearer details will be made known on a later date.

Day/Date: Saturday, 15th January 2011

Venue: HQ NCC

Parade Commence: 1900h

We require 15 cadet officers to help out as ushers for the VVIPs of the a/m event.

Those who are available and wish to render your service, please email your application to Manpower IC in the proper format by 13th January 2011.

Ushers are to report at Sea Office by 1730h latest in No. 3.

Guard of Honour (GOH) please be reminded to report at 0745h sharp in No. 4.

Bring along peak cap and training gloves.

Your No. 1 is to be prepared and brought along as well.

A major parade will be held on 15 Jan 2011 at NCC Campus for Chairman NCC Farewell Parade. He has served NCC for 23 years and we want to give him a resounding farewell with a grand parade. Rehearsals will be on 7 Jan (PM), 8 Jan (AM) and on 15 Jan from 0900 hr till the actual parade on the same day at 1900 hr. Hi all,

HQ NCC is sending a delegation of 24 cadet officers and officers to Yunnan, China for the Overseas Service Learning.

It would be great if others within the Corps can help contribute to the efforts of helping those in need.

The following is the requests for items by the Orphanage and Schools that the delegation will be visiting.

3) English picture / children story books
4) Manga and comics (in Chinese is preferred)

30th Annual Orienteering Competition 2010

Hi all,

The Orienteering Competition will be held on 20th October 2010 from 1230h to 1800h.

Sea District is tasked to facilitate the Shuttle service from Yio Chu Kang MRT station to HQ NCC, Amoy Quee Camp before the commencement of the event and vice versa after the event has ended.

We will also be handling the Awards Presentation Ceremony.

A total of 5 Cadet Officers are required. All to be dressed in No. 4 for the a/m event.

Reporting time would be at 1100h.

Applications are to be sent to Manpower IC in the appropriate format via email by 13th October 2010.

Deadline of application will be on 14th October, 2400h or when applications are full, whichever comes earlier.

Please read the following extract from SM.

Kindly be informed that the Senior Specs Course will be conducted from 3 to 9 Sep 2010.

Central & UG is from 3 Sep, 1400 to 5 Sep, 1730 hr

West / Sea is from 5 Sep, 0800 hr to 7 Sep, 1200 hr

East / Air is from 7 Sep, 1330 hr to 9 Sep, 1730 hr

For each course, I need a minimum of 36 Cadet Officers. (1 trainer to 10 cadets ratio)

For Specs Trainers i need 1 x RSM, 2 X CSM and 6 x Platoon Sgt for each course

I will be conducting a refresher for all Trainers on the last week of Aug to ensure the standardisation of the drills taught.

The date and time wil be made known later.

Applications are to be sent in to Manpower IC by 18 August 2010. Please remember to provide the necessary details as usual when submitting your application. Number of cadet officers needed would be roughly around 18 as approximately half will be from Sea, the other half from West.

International Sea Cadet Exchange Programme (ISCEP) Inbound will be conducted from 30th May to 8th June 2010.

We will be hosting foreign officers and their cadets at Changi Naval Base and visiting NCC, Naval Bases, Camps and tour Singapore during their stay here with us.

Sea commander, CPT (NCC) Chia Kok Liang will be the OIC for ISCEP Inbound.

Extract from email to all Sea Cadet Officers,

The Army Half Marathon 2010 will be held on 12 Sep 10. HQ NCC has engaged
a professional PT coach to train 2 competitive teams to compete in the
event. Interested NCC Teacher Officers and cadets are to attend a briefing
by Commandant NCC on 3 Apr 10 at 0900 hrs at NCC Council Room, Amoy Quee
Camp.

NCC Affirmation Ceremony 2010

Hi VVIP Ushers,

You will be required to collect your uniform from HQ NCC, Logistics Branch on the respective dates stated below:

30th March 2010, Tuesday

31st March 2010, Wednesday

For those who have attended the previous AKE Prep, you would have known that the attire for our committee had been change to No.5(T).

Those who have collected the No.5(J) uniform, please return the blazer, buttons, rank insignia and peak cap as soon as possible or it will be considered as outstanding items.

In accordance to the NCC Dress Instructions Manual, the No.5(T) comprises of the following:

1. White Long Sleeve Shirt (Male) / White long Sleeve Blouse (Female)

2. Slate Black Necktie (Male) / Slate Black Neck Tab (Female)

3. Tie Clip (Male) / Bow Pin (Female)

4. Black Trousers (Male)/ Black Skirt(Female)

Tentative briefing date for VIPS' & Invited Guests' Holding Area and Reception Committee Member would be after Quarterly Sea Meeting, 6th April 2010 Tuesday, please keep your first half of the afternoon free from events if possible.
